Description

What defines the 'arts and culture' offer in Bromsgrove...what defines 'arts and culture' all together?

Who is engaging with that offer, and crucially, who isn't?

Bromsgrove Arts & Culture Consortium have been funded by Arts Council England, with further support from Bromsgrove District Council, the Elmley Foundation, Worcestershire County Council, the Bromsgrove Society and Bromsgrove Rotary Club” to explore these questions and more.

They have partnered with Doink; a creative research organisation, in order to co-create a new cultural engagement action plan for the district. The overall aim is to engage a broader range of people with the arts and culture in Bromsgrove.

As part of the research phase, we want to connect with as many arts and cultural organisations, small or large, working in the area. We want to hear your experiences of running projects, programmes, and events with the residents of Bromsgrove.

Doink creative research sessions are all about fun and engaging ways to share your stories, shout about your successes and discuss your pinch points. In the past, cake shops, balloon animals and marbelling techniques have all been used by Doink to engage creatively to get the best results!

Your experiences will help inform the building of recommendations and a plan for Bromsgrove.

Who is the event aimed at?:

This invitation is for arts and cultural organisations who deliver work within Bromsgrove.

Question we'll be asking include:

-Who are you engaging with?

-What's working well?

-Who would you like to engage but are struggling to connect with?

-What do you think is missing from Bromsgrove's cultural offer?

-What types of data do you collect?

We will also be able to tell you about the wider research project, what the consortium is aiming to do over the coming 12 months and how your organisation can get involved.

What if you can't attend either of these dates, or the places have all been booked?

The success of this research will come from including as many voices as possible, and we want to make sure we hear from as many organisations working with the people of Bromsgrove as we can.

If you can't make these dates, or places are all booked, then all is not lost! There are a few ways you can still share your experiences and hear more about the project:

-Get in touch with Tony from the Doink team and book in for a catch up - Tony@Beatfreeks.Com

-Fill in 'what's working well/what's not working so well' questionnaire

This is a year long project, and there will be more sessions, workshops, events and opportunities to shape the final action plan throughout this 12 month period. If you wish to be kept updated about these opportunities get in touch with Tony@Beatfreeks.Com
